Maybe This Will Work

The stats from my previous post seem to be slowly hitting the blogosphere- still no mention from all the other mainline LGBT bloggers or organizations, but I’m optimistic- it’s gradually happening.

We’re getting some amazing and thought-filled comments on the post over at Bilerico.

It has been reposted by Brody Levesque to help round out the discussion on his site.

LifeLube has an excellent post trying to make sense of it all.

Cross your fingers and do your part. We’re in trouble.

  1. gg's avatar gg says:

I’ll check on some of the New England gay sites and try to send it to them.
Boston & Chicago has some of the worst meth and crack use in the gay community. Their brains are obviously in their dicks and assholes.

The gay TWITer & Facebook etc generation think anybody over 41.5 yrs of age is senile or without imagination. They think like the “Red Queen” in ALICE. HIV is more than one strain, so they can dance on the edge blindfolded or play on the third rail and take their chances. Then they’ll feel and look some something out of a Breugel painting or a character in NAKED LUNCH.

Deviations can be interesting as long as one stays within set boundaries.

    Cynically yours,

    gg

  2. I guess the stats don’t surprise me, but they definitely disturb me. And, I see how the conservative world will use it to say, “I told you so . . . .”

I know the dilemma. But I want to love myself more than that. I want for me, and for our community, the health of body, soul, and spirit that we do not have to “rely” on sex so much.

And yet, I want to rejoice in it, too. Contradictions, I know. But they don’t have to kill us.
