    But WHY are people still dying? I have been following this epidemic since the very early 80’s when AIDS was labelled GRID. We’ve known about safe-sex practices for decades, we know what causes it, therefore we know how to avoid contracting it. This should be a no-brainer for every living human being.

      People are still being infected- and the medicines don’t work for everybody. Without medication, HIV is fatal.
      And sex and substance use too often go hand-in-hand- that impairs judgment for choosing safe practices…
